The Runway light PROtektors are used around the runway edge lights and taxiway/apron lights. Uses other than lighting purposes include, around standards and signs both airside and groundside. At present they are in place at 5 Airports.

The purpose is to protect the light and eliminate weed/grass trimming. Lawn mowers and snow blowers can run on the PROtektor keeping 16 “ INCHES (approx. 40cm) from the light. This eliminates damage and provides the Ops manager to put less people on the field and not have to change runways as often or as long. We have noticed that this also serves as a cover for the wires exposed above the ground at each light.

ampage2_1.jpg (492070 bytes)The second product to be presented is an Airfield Marker that clearly is distinctive from thousands of feet and up to 4 miles (weather permitting). The Markers identify a remote grass field or gravel airstrip when placed in a runway configuration or a large circle for Helicopters at a fuel cache. The safety for those flying in remote areas for Mining, Forestry, Wildlife and Geographical surveys is of great value.

The Markers have been tested using a Bell 206 Helicopter (see brochure) and using only the step down feature did not move. The other use is been to replace the road cones which are not nearly as visible and do not meet TP312 Standards as the marker does.

Remote airstrips, Airports with grass or gravel runways will build the safety system to a higher standard. Other features for security and severe weather conditions are easily adaptable to this product. Both products have a life span of many years are U/V treated, made of heavy duty P/E and the Airfield Markers can be stored each winter.
